Uncrewed Surface Vessels
The Fugro Blue Eclipse®, built by SEA-KIT International, a Fugro company, is a robust and versatile uncrewed surface vessel designed for inspection, construction support, hydrographic and geophysical survey operations. Its uncrewed nature required the integration of specialised systems with built-in redundancy to ensure continuous performance across long distances and in challenging offshore environments.
EMS delivered a comprehensive 2D mechanical systems design package, incorporating advanced redundancy strategies to support the vessel’s endurance and reliability across its global operating profile. One of the project’s primary technical challenges was the development of the onboard cooling systems. Drawing on extensive industry expertise and an innovative design approach, EMS successfully addressed these complexities, ensuring optimal system performance and resilience.
This project further demonstrates EMS’s capability to deliver advanced design solutions for sophisticated, mission-critical applications in demanding maritime conditions.
