Pelagic 77 Vinson of Antarctica

The worlds most extreme sailing machine, designed to go anywhere

The Pelagic 77, designed for high-latitude expedition charters, required a systems philosophy centred on durability and resilience, ensuring all onboard systems could reliably perform in the Arctic and Antarctic. Equally important was the mandate that these systems remain accessible and serviceable by yacht crews operating in remote locations without reliance on specialist technicians.

EMS provided a comprehensive mechanical and electrical systems package designed in collaboration with the client and the shipyard to address the vessel’s unique operational requirements. This integrated approach ensured the systems met the rigorous standards demanded by the Pelagic 77’s mission profile and supported ease of maintenance and long-term reliability.

Over the past five years, the vessel has remained in continuous operation, consistently performing in some of the most challenging and extreme marine environments. This proven track record is a direct reflection of the robustness, reliability and quality of the design decisions and integration we provided. Our commitment to technical excellence and attention to detail has not only supported the vessel’s operational success but also reinforced our reputation as a trusted partner in delivering high-performance engineering solutions.
